Plot Summary:

 

Kagome Higurashi is a 15 year old schoolgirl who lives at a history-filled Japanese shrine. She is also the reincarnation of an ancient priestess named Kikyo, who guarded the sacred Shikon no Tama (Jewel of Four Souls), and who sealed away the half-demon Inuyasha who had tried to steal the jewel in order to become a full demon. Kikyo died of her wounds and had the jewel burned with her body. Kagome is one day pulled into the ancient well on her family's shrine and thrown into the past, 50 years after Kikyo's death. She befriends Kaede, the late Kikyo's sister, who realizes Kagome is Kikyo's reincarnation. They are attacked, and learn that Kagome has the Shikon no Tama, but it's actually inside her body! Kagome accidentally awakens the dog-demon Inuyasha, and frees him after the jewel has been ripped from her body. Now Inuyasha wants the jewel back, but Kagome can't let him have it. He is forced (by Kaede's magic) to wear a necklace that allows Kagome to control him with one word, "Sit!", which sends him face-first into the ground. Kagome accidentally shatters the jewel, and now she and Inuyasha have to work together to find all the pieces before they fall into the wrong hands. Only Kagome can "sense" where the shards are, and only Inuyasha is powerful enough to get them from the demons or people who have them. But can they stop fighting long enough to work together?

 

Main Characters:

 

Inuyasha: A hanyou(half-demon) that was pinned to the Tree of Ancients by the Priestess Kikyo for trying to steal the Shikon-no-tama 50 years before Kagome appeared through the well and released him.

 

Kagome: A ninth grade girl who is the re-incarnation of the Priestess Kikyo and was brought to the past. The Shikon-no-tama was in side her and after it was released, she accidentally shattered it.

 

Kikyo: A feudal Priestess who had charge of the Shikon-no-tama. Fell in love with Inuyasha, but they were torn apart. She died from injuries after pinning Inuyasha to the Tree of Ancients, but was brought back to life by a witch after Kagome came back to the past.

 

Kaede: Kikyo's younger sister, who is now the priestess of their village 50 years later.

 

Sesshoumaru: A Youkai(full demon) who is the taiyoukai(demon lord) of the west, and is Inuyasha's half brother. Has a tendency to want to kill Inuyasha and his party.

 

Kouga: A wolf youkai prince, who is in love with Kagome, and won't miss a chance to steal her away either to find jewel shards or for an attempt at a little 'alone time'.

 

Shippou: A young fox youkai who was orphaned. Looks up to Kagome as his mother, and often tries to help the group with his shape shifting powers and fox-fire.

 

Sango: A ta-jiya(demon slayer) who joined Kagome, Inuyasha and Shippou on their quest to find the shikon shards after it was shattered.

 

Miroku: A monk who has a wind tunnel cursed into his hand. Very...lecherous, and has a tendency to 'find' his hand on Sango's backside.

 

Naraku: An evil half demon who wants the Shikon-no-tama all to himself, so he can become a full demon with it's power. Is very very very evil.

 

There are many many many other characters such as Naraku's 'children', other demons they meet on the way, Sango's younger brother - Kohaku, and people that help Inuyasha and co. on their journey such as the flea demon called Myoga. I'm sure there might be a few I missed, since it's all from memory, hehe. (Oh! Can't forget Rin, she's just too cute. She's the little girl that Lord Sesshoumaru brought back to life.)

 

I highly recommend this anime, along with the movies going along with it. Inuyasha fans tend to be pretty fanatic (I can vouch for that, I include myself in that ). Common ships include Inuyasha/Kagome, Inuyasha/Kikyo, Sango/Miroku and Sesshoumaru/Kagome(my personal fav).

 

 It can be seen on Cartoon Network, Saturdays @ 11pm/10pm(EST/CST), or Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays @ 12:30am/11:30pm(EST/CST) for the older, rerun episodes.

 

 

 

 

Well, searching through my piles of old cd's that I have stacked in my closet, I came across four cds that I haven't seen in...two years.

 

In highschool, I was a HUGE anime fan (much like I am now) but more obsessive with EVERYTHING.

 

I was in the anime club, drew my favorite characters in art, conspired with my best friend to make a manga (that never happened) and spent all my money on manga and cheap tapes.

 

Well, these four cd's were burned by my best high school friend Cat (yes, Kit and Cat bwahahahaha), and are a HUGE  variety of anime songs.

 

Only bad thing is, I lost the inserts she gave me  to three of the cd's, and I only know some of them from memory, since sometimes we watched different anime, and I have no idea where they were from. I wish my burner was working so I could extract a few and see if anybody knew them, but alas, it died so long ago. I think I did pretty well figuring them out...except for the fourth cd, haha.

I'm posting tons of quotes from the anime 'Cowboy Bebop' because I'm loving it so much again right now. I was looking through the quotes for it at IMDB, and I loved ALL  of them, so I'm posting them all . Edward Wong Hau  Pepeleu Tivrusky IV: Genius kid hacker that is actually a little girl, but you wouldn't know by her name or her mannerisms. Always talks in third person.

Einstein(Ein): A welsh corgi that was one of the first bounties in the series, but somehow ended up on the Bebop. Is probably one of the smartest beings on the ship, besides Ed.

I've decided since I never really use this journal for anything besides quizzes anymore, and I always post everything relevant in my lj, I'm going to use this journal to post fic snippets, poetry (if I ever feel like writing any), and songs lyrics that I love.

 

Starting it off is a very short snippet from the new fic I've been working on for...quite a while now. It's 'working title' is Le Fantôme du Hogwarts, and is a Harry Potter/Phantom of the Opera(movie) crossover. It hasn't been beta'd yet, so this may be changed.

 

Sometimes the end is just the window to a new beginning.

The rough walls of the passageway felt cold to his fingertips as he stumbled against them, trying to recover the strength, the strength that so much emotion had drained from his body. His haggard breathing only reached his own ears and echoed off of the cold bricks which were slowly becoming his new prison.

No light could be seen, but water could be heard slowly trickling through cracks in the wall. It pooled on the ground, scattering when his feet moved forward.

Anyways, going to be re-designing np.com soon, will be changing it over to Lindsay Lohan and the colour scheme is going to be pink and yellow, very bright and spring like, but not too overwhelming because it is streamlined and has clean lines.

I have my second interview tomorrow and I'm so nervous. I don't know why I am now, I was absolutely fine for the first one, but now that I'm so close to getting the job I guess it makes me all the more nervous...

 

And now I'm rambling, lol

 

Gerry on The Late Late Show tomorrow night also, so I'll be sure not to miss that, because it's become a habit lately to watch Craig, because I think he's one of the funniest guys on late night tv now lol.

 

Been working on a couple projects also. New layouts for a couple sites (gbutler.net and jamespurefoy.net). I got the job to re-do eccentricity-online.com, which is an Ewan McGregor fansite, and to date, probably the largest one I've had to design for.

 

Did free layouts for both www.emmysworld.tk and www.freewebs.com/patrickwilsononline 'cause they are friends, haha.

 

Going to make more pride banners and some general HP icons tonight after NCIS is over .

I haven't had a dream this weird in quite a while and I'm the kind of person that used to have extremely vivid dreams all the time when I was younger (I used to dream about being trapped in the Lake Superior Zoo being chased by zombies...and that was when I was 7).

 

Now that I think about it, most of my vivid  'dreams' were more like nightmares (maybe I'll tell you about the vampires sometime lol)

 

But this one tops the 'weird dream cake'.

 

Wednesday night/early thursday morning:

 

Well, around one am  I caught the repeat of the Jay Leno with Gerard Butler on it (missed it the first time, i was very angry). It's that event that I'm blaming for this dream.

 

First part of the dream (scenes changed rapidly):

 

Me and Gerard Butler, in a space station orbiting earth. A very small space station with one room and gravity with drawers filled with clothing lining the walls, and yet, there's me yelling that I have nothing to wear and stripping ot my underwear. My memory get's fuzzy here but I believe I'm freaking out and that makes Gerry really really sad so I give him a hug and we cuddle. And you know when you have a dream that feels very very real? Well, that part of it did.

 

Change of scene to an underground cavern with these little midget alien people trying to push me through an obstacle course against another unknown woman. And man was this course HARD. Climbing on ceilings, dodging ceiling fans (I think one of my fingers may have been cut off at one point) and jumping over a large pit with tiny stepping stones and a black abyss below. Then I was stuck swinging on a rope for a bit. And what were we competing for? Gerry.

 

Change of scene to my living room, where once again myself and the unknown woman are swinging along the ceiling dodging ceiling fans.

 

Back to the space station one last time, and one kiss, then I wake up.

 

...I wanted to go back to sleep.

 

That is by far the oddest dream I have ever had.

 

Except for maybe the vampires. But that's another story for another time
